Our History
Peace Village began in 1996 as a summer day camp, created in collaboration between the Congregational Church of Lincoln City, the Pacific University Peace Studies department, and the Native Youth Council of the Siletz Nation. Since our inception, thousands of people, from varied backgrounds and all walks of life, have participated in our programs across the globe.
Peace Village Global has over 25 years of experience addressing some of the most challenging issues in our communities. We teach practical skills in resolving conflict, building empathy, creating inner peace, connecting with the natural world, and developing collaborative leadership.
Based in conflict resolution theory, modern neuroscience, and ancient mindfulness practices, PVG helps each person cultivate a calm center and provides a safe space to practice peace building together. We now have over 30 programs across the country and abroad, including those for children, families and adults.
