SCHOOL-BASED PROGRAMS
Peace Village School-based Programs build skills in empathy and conflict resolution, teach respect for all people, and promote environmental awareness. Activities focus on enhancing communication skills, mindful movement including yoga and meditation and building self-esteem. Our school-based programs include in-class curricula for teachers, after school programs, and workshops for teachers, families and children.
MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
In our Leadership Programs teens learn collaborative and effective leadership skills. Utilizing Peace Village's core curriculum, students will emerge with a powerful understanding of themselves as leaders in their communities. Graduates of this training can go on to work at Peace Village summer day camps. Currently, this program is offered in the greater Portland area.
UPSTANDING TRAINING
Peace Village offers trainings in anti-bullying and upstanding to schools in the greater Portland area. Students, teachers, staff, and parents will learn what it means to be an upstander, and will gain specific skills in conflict resolution, empathy building, and confronting racism.
WORKSHOPS AND TRAININGS
Create a more peaceful environment in your home, school, business, or community. Workshops focus on Peace Village’s core curriculum of Conflict Resolution, Connecting with Nature, Media Literacy and Mindfulness and can be tailored to the needs of your community.

Cultivating Peace Within: a half-day workshop for adults.
Empathy: the Path to Peace: a half-day workshop for ages 15-adult
Peacebuilding at home: a one-day workshop for families
Multi-cultural Peacebuilding: a one-day workshop for ages 15-adult
Sustaining resilient leadership: a half-day worksop for adults
One Day Peace Village: a one-day workshop for all ages.
Foundations of Peace Ed Training: a one-day workshop for teachers and Peace Village camp directors
Licensing Agreements
New Day Camp License and Curriculum. This curriculum has everything you need to start a Peace Village in your community:
-A complete curriculum and extensive administrative tools
-Access for one member of your team to our required training: offered twice a year in early spring or late fall
-Two one-hour Zoom conference calls with your leadership team
-Camp Directors Forum, held spring and fall
A renewal license is required each year. With the renewal license, you receive:
-Updated components and administrative tools: forms, trainings, surveys
-One one-hour Zoom or conference call with your leadership team
-All new updated media literacy curriculum for 2024
-Camp Directors Forum, held spring and fall
