Sponsor a teacher to come to our Peace Village training!

To achieve the task of promoting a peaceful, cohesive and integrated Kenyan society, there is need for long-term strategies that specifically target young people.  The Peace Village camps are aimed at reducing the involvement of youth in violence by inspiring them to learn and practice the skills of compassionate communication, mediation, conflict resolution, and peace education activities.

Peace Village will host its first international camp at the Amani Primary School near Ukunda, Kenya.  This project will begin with a one-week intensive training on the foundations of teaching peace education and how to run a Peace Village camp.  

The training, along with the curriculum will prepare teachers to run a Peace Village program at their school. As teachers of the Peace Village program, these educators will be connected to other peace educators across Kenya, the United States, and beyond to share ideas, resources, and inspiration with one another.
